A conference like no other!

Rachel Turner holds up a banner: we did it

Over 50 church workers were blessed and encouraged at The Forge, a twice-yearly retreat for children’s and families workers, run by BRF’s Parenting for Faith. Usually a three-day residential, this time the team took to Zoom to host a 24-hour event on 9-10 November.

Read on to find out the difference it made to people involved in children’s and families ministry around the country…

A fantastic time to connect with God. A brilliant time to draw on the wisdom who understand the ministry we have been placed in.

A real encouragement for a weary soul. Thank you so much!

I love that the teaching is so practical and useful, and really appreciate the opportunity to spend quality time sharing with others on the same journey. I always feel so loved and valued at the forge and come away feeling refreshed and excited for what God has in store!

Even online, The Forge is so different to any other conference I have been to. I always leave feeling heard and noticed, having had plenty of space to connect with God and others. It’s such an amazing opportunity to stop amidst the busyness that is Church ministry and spend time resting, reflecting, thinking and dreaming both on my own and with others. After months of carefully creating online content and activity packs for families it was a joy to be on the receiving end of such a thoughtful and well-put-together event just for us!

Next year we’re hoping to go back to holding two in-person gatherings – in May and November. Perhaps you or someone from your church will join us?
