Our last issue of BRF Ministries News of 2023 begins, poignantly, with Messy Church lead Aike Kennett-Brown reflecting on a recent visit to the Holy Lands.

When Aike visited the Holy Lands earlier in the year she struggled to relate the current reality of life in the region with Christmas card images and lines in well-loved carols. Reflecting on her experience in the last issue of BRF Ministries News of 2023, she asks:

‘As we approach Advent, I wonder what images and expectations we have for this festive period?  How can we bring to life this story of “good news that will cause great joy for all the people” (Luke 2:10), in ways that are appropriate for our context?’
