The BBC has invited Debbie Thrower from BRF’s Anna Chaplaincy for Older People to lead its Radio 4 Sunday Worship service on March 21. The broadcast marks the anniversary of the first Covid-19 lockdown and commemorates the sad loss of over 120,000 lives to the pandemic in the UK. Many of those who died were in their later years – some living in care homes.
Entitled The Lost Years, the service is broadcast on Sunday 21 March, from 8.10 to 8.50 am. In it the Archbishop of York leads a Moment of Remembrance, and the preacher is Very Revd Catherine Ogle, Dean of Winchester.
BRF’s Chief Executive, Richard Fisher, gives the reading: Luke 7:11-17, and other members of the Anna Chaplaincy network participate.
