BRF Ministries News July 2026

Welcome to BRF Ministries News for July 2026, which explores vocation, beginning with a reflection from Paul Goodliff, our vice chair. Paul writes:

‘When the church speaks about “vocations”, it is usually speaking about those called to ordained Christian ministry. It is easy, then, to forget that every Christian has a vocation: the call to follow Jesus as his disciple… But while each of us has a common call to discipleship, we also have a distinctive and unique way to work out that call in our context…

‘But having been called, we are also sent. Those first apostles and disciples were sent into the whole world to make other disciples (Mark 16:15–18), and we, also, are sent into our world, with all of its complexity and uncertainty, with good news of a Saviour, and of ways of living that makes us “good news people” too. As we – like Charlotte, Patricia, Callum, and the others featured in these pages – live out the virtues of the life of faith, then our “call” is translated into our “sending”.

‘Where to for you, today?’
