Sometimes God calls us to times of solitude. Those times can be full of wonder, the clear voice of God - or dark loneliness. Yet each is an equally valuable meeting place where God can do his best work in our lives.

Wendy Bray is a freelance writer and journalist. She is married to Richard and has two children. She is the author of In the Palm of God's Hand published by BRF and The Art of Waiting, of BRF's Advent book for 2004.
