Faith Odyssey

To boldly go where no Christian book has gone before... Faith Odyssey takes us on a journey from the ashes of sorrow to shouts of gladness, from slavery to freedom, from being lost to coming home. As we make the journey, passages from the Bible are placed alongside stories drawn from a wide range of literature, TV and film, from Homer's Odyssey to 2001: A Space Odyssey, from Star Trek and Star Wars to The Lord of the Rings and The Matrix, mixing Narnia, Harry Potter and Pilgrim's Progress.

Richard A. Burridge is a New Testament scholar and Dean of King's College, London. Among other books, he has written 'Four Gospels, One Jesus' (SPCK, 1994) and the commentary on John's Gospel for BRF's 'People's Bible Commentary Series' (1998), of which he is one of the Series Editors. He has been fascinated by our place in the cosmos from an early age.
