Faith Odyssey

To boldly go where no Lent book has gone before…'Faith Odyssey' takes us on a journey from the ashes of sorrow to shouts of gladness, from slavery to freedom, from being lost to coming home.

Each day, passages from the Bible are placed alongside stories drawn from a wide range of literature, TV and film from Homer’s Odyssey to 2001: A Space Odyssey, from Star Trek and Star Wars to Dune and The Matrix, mixing Narnia, Harry Potter and Pilgrim’s Progress.

How do we get to the start? Whom will we meet along the way? And how can we make it our journey?

Richard A. Burridge is a New Testament scholar and Dean of King's College, London. Among other books, he has written 'Four Gospels, One Jesus' (SPCK, 1994) and the commentary on John's Gospel for BRF's 'People's Bible Commentary Series' (1998), of which he is one of the Series Editors. He has been fascinated by science fiction from an early age.
