Footsteps to the Feast
Experienced children's worker Martyn Payne provides background information for each festival, with warm-up activities, Bible basis, ideas for storytelling, drama, music, crafts and prayers. While all the component parts of the programme are important, the primary aim is to share God's word with children and to provide an opportunity to come close to God in worship.
Martyn Payne is a key member of the Barnabas team. Formerly National Children's Work Co-ordinator for CMS, he has wide experience of working with schools and churches to explore ways of opening up the Bible with children. Martyn is a trained teacher, an experienced workshop leader, Godly Play teacher and speaker and has collaborated with children's advisers and education officers in major school, church and family events across the UK. Martyn is author of A-cross the World (Barnabas 2004).
