A Handful of Light
A Handful of Light, the BRF Advent book for 2008, is based around the themes of hope, light and darkness in the Scripture. Looking at how what we believe in makes us feel, it has daily Bible readings and reflections for every day from December 1st to January 6th, but can also be used at any other time of the year for those who wish to delve deeper into their relationship with God.
A Handful of Light is ideal for those looking for their first Advent book, or for those looking particularly for devotional material.
This book also contains questions for reflection at the end of each reading which can be used as the basis for a group discussion.

The Revd Michael Mitton is the Mission and Ministry Development Adviser in the Derby Diocese. He was previously Deputy Director of the Acorn Christian Listeners, and was Director of Anglican Renewal Ministries from 1989-1997.
